iv. properties: colorless needle-like hexagonal crystal; relative density 1.62 (20℃); melting point73.3-76.7℃ (decompound); can not melt in organism aqua. opposite density is 1.62 (20℃). the temperature reach the 73.3-76.7℃ it will melt. it vaporizes. when the temperature reach 100℃ it will loose water change into na₃po₄. aqueous is alkaline, erode to the skin.

Trisodium phosphate (TSP),with the CAS NO.7601-54-9, is a cleaning agent, lubricant, food additive, stain remover and degreaser. It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water producing an alkaline solution. Most often found in white powder form, it can also be called trisodium orthophosphate or just plain sodium phosphate. Trisodium phosphate is made from phosphoric acid and soda ash, but caustic soda is necessary to substitute the third hydrogen of the phosphoric acid.

Uses of Trisodium phosphate: Trisodium phosphate can be used as a water softening agent, cleaning agent in electroplating, color fixer in fabric dyeing and flux in enamel ware manufacturing and so on.
